Qi Chen is a graduate student majoring in Sociology at East China Normal University. Before joining CASER, she completed a master’s program in Gender Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and worked as a teacher for four years. Her research interest lies in educational inequality. Currently, her research focuses on how Chinese parents of different socioeconomic statuses activate their family cultural capital and pass it on to their children in different parental styles.
