Xin Li received her PhD from University of California, Los Angeles in 2022. Her research falls within the broad categories of the economics of education and education policy. She is particularly interested in the effect of college admissions policies on student higher education access and choice, and how familial and psychosocial attributes interact with student choices and outcomes. Additionally, she also studies the effects of information and behavioral biases and how to incentivize students effectively. Her work uses a mixture of experimental and quasi-experimental designs to address these topics.
