The CASER Visiting Student/Scholar Program is designed to nurture highly motivated early-career scholars and graduate students with a strong interest in conducting quantitative research on important socioeconomic issues aligned with the Center’s mission.
Admitted students and scholars will have the opportunity to participate in research projects in the Center under the mentorship of faculty affiliates at NYU Shanghai. They will also work within the cross-cultural research group at NYU Shanghai, NYU’s global network and CASER’s broad collaboration network. Admitted students and scholars will also be invited to participate in various center activities including seminars, lectures, conferences, and the summer school program.
Typical visiting periods range from one month to one semester. No more than four positions will be awarded for each given period. Applicants in Shanghai or nearby regions are particularly welcome.
At the end of the program, participants are required to produce a project summary. Participants may also be invited for a seminar presentation at the Center.
